Very good kitchen

Food was good. Portions too small for the price.

Unfortunately today we had the feeling that shortly before the 2nd lockdown one doesn't have to exert oneself anymore ..... Delivery service during the lockdown is not offered ... we didn't feel well today and the food and wine was better. Today everything is pretty unkind ...

The Landhaus Stiegel was recommended to us as a "better restaurant". However, I can only agree with this to a certain extent. First of all, it should be emphasized that the hygiene measures taken with regard to the Covid 19 pandemic were implemented better than exemplary. The distances between the tables were very large and safety barriers were created by transverse tables at the respective ends of the table. The ambience in the typical Swabian restaurant look has clearly suffered as a result, but it would be unfair to criticize this under these circumstances. The ambience is therefore not rated any further. That one usually pays attention to details was e.g. in the very clean sanitary area: there were baskets with lovingly rolled up small terry towels for single use instead of paper towel dispensers at the washbasins. The service staff was very friendly and attentive - they also had a bit of charming humor. The food was advertised on the menu at a high level, but "only" turned out to be down-to-earth Swabian cuisine. The pumpkin cream soup was really successful (see picture). Irritating and then unfortunately not that convincing was the grill plate with bean bunches and french fries, the description of which referred to "Café de Paris". The three pieces of meat were in fact cruelly drowned in brown sauce (see picture) and then only tasted like what they were swimming in. It was my first grill dish from a deep plate. Smoke or roasted aromas, which one might expect from a grill plate, could not be tasted even with difficulty. If these ever existed, they drowned in the brown sauce and died. It would have had a lot more flair to serve "Café de Paris" than butter and to support the meat taste instead of drowning it. Since the side dishes were increasingly soaked with the brown sauce, it was necessary to hurry to save them from drowning. The food was therefore not bad, but devoid of any taste refinement. In the light of the not lavish but sufficient portion it was worth the price but nothing special at all. Conclusion: It's a decent, down-to-earth restaurant - nothing special or even "better", but I can still give an honest 4 stars with a clear conscience.

This is how I imagine a host. Friendly .. with wit and charm. The food is amazing ... quality you can taste. Great location Price and performance are perfect. If you could give 10 stars ... I would type 11😉

Aaaalsoooo we were there and are a bit disappointed. The service was really nice, but for the prices I expect a little more on the plate. The medallions were nice and tender, but the pea vegetables tasted a bit like frozen food. However, I do not want to assume that the quality of the food is poor. It just tasted that way. The onion roast, however, was great. I would like to see a better price-performance ratio in the future.

The typical restaurant where they say, if I had only spent € 5 more, then I would have eaten something good. I didn't eat well here, but rather delicious. Unfortunately, you rarely find such restaurants with cozy furnishings and great service. I give 5 stars for the great restaurant with the great kitchen and the 6th star for the great service

We went to the Landhaus Stiegel for dinner. From the greeting to the food to the dessert, everything was perfect for us. The ambience fits wonderfully in the country house. We were immediately sympathetic to the staff 😁 We'd love to come again Thank you 🤗 Oh yes, the creative design on the toilets did invite you to smile 😁

Excellent and plentiful starters and dishes, quality beers for a fair price. A restaurant that offers several typical German dishes. Attention to the decoration of the toilets, in particular that for the toilet paper which is doubtful ... To think about.

Very nice restaurant! On the occasion of a family celebration there was very good food! The staff was also very friendly. We were here again after almost 1 3/4 years and very enthusiastic about the great, delicious food. The entire staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly! Make a reservation in advance! Also on the 3rd visit we are very enthusiastic about everything !!!

Very good food, first address for birthdays and other celebrations. The salad is in a class of its own. Staff is very motivated. If you want to dine well, you have to go there.

Really amazing. We were here on recommendation and are thrilled. The starter was just enough from the portion and the homemade potato salad was a dream. Very intense taste and not over-seasoned. As a main course we had the onion roast with the homemade spaetzle. The portions were made for us. The meat was juicy and tender and the spaetzle butter was soft. For dessert, we ordered the surprise dessert plate. Just great. Prices: We find the prices very humane to be honest. If you eat as often as we do, you have some comparisons and quality has its price. If you want to eat cheap, you are better off in a quick restaurant or kebab. In any case, I value high-quality food. Waiting period: We also found the waiting time normal. If you just want to eat fresh, you also have to expect a wait. I would rather be surprised if the food comes after 20 minutes. With short waiting times, I had the experience that a lot was simply thrown into the deep fryer. It was definitely delicious and we will definitely be back!

A pure experience! From the starter to the dessert, from the service to the ambience, just great! If we had any questions about recommendations, we were informed competently and received a coordinated wine accompaniment to match the course. The dishes are seasonally and regionally coordinated and are characterized by their quality and creativity. We are glad to have visited the family restaurant and are sure that we will come back anytime with the knowledge of this insider tip! An absolute recommendation!

Nice place, friendly stuff good food! The fact that you have to call in and reserve a table seams to be the norm in Germany. The price, well lets say this is a higher end restaurant in the heart of Zollernalbkreis, and probably the only place to eat venison if you are a fan of Bambi!

It was my first time there. The food took a while but it was super delicious. Freshly prepared. they tried very hard, everyone was totally attentive and nice. The meat was excellent and very tender. Just to recommend all around. Will definitely be back.

Lovely restaurant in this quaint little town. Service staff is professional and friendly, and the food is just fantastic; of very high quality.

Great local southern German food in a nice atmosphere. The staff and owners are very nice. I recommend the steak with fried onions (Schwäbischer Zwiebelrostbraten ), schnitzel from veal and dumplings (Maultaschen) and fried potatoes (Bratkartoffeln).

If you like really good food, food that makes you happy, tingling in your stomach and a grin on your face, then you're in good hands here. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, from the conditions every extra request is heard and if possible fulfilled. Just a place you could wish for, with good food, good wine and the beer is delicious.

Great local food! Even though the menu does not include too many options, everyone should be able to find something from the south German cuisine that tastes very well. The prices are a little too high and the staff could be more friendly and better try to write everything done (two orders were forgotten at our table)

Very traditional swabian restaurant. Served good swabian dishes. Ambient quite good during lunch. Portion is generous and price acceptable. Taste good and not so like those ate in suttgart city
